From an operator's perspective and based on our experiences over the past 5 years, let me stress once it again that security is a huge matter for all crypto casinos & sportsbooks.
We've seen many operators who simply integrate bunch of 3rd party services to make a site. This means they got their entire backend being offered & maintained by someone else, and this can often be extended to their database, their customer support, their affiliate management system, and even risk management system.
I don't intend to badmouth any competitors. Everyone got their own way of doing business and it is for players themselves to decide where to play. Operators following the above pattern usually need a lot less investment and often able to provide better bonuses. But as the industry today faces more scams, hacks and other challenges, such setup is simply more vulnerable than in-house solutions.
I am not at liberty to share what security measures TrustDice keeps developing. But we take pride in the fact that we enhance it every single month, which is simply impossible for a casino site created from integrating 3rd party services.
When you are a bigger casino and sportbook, you need wide range of options. These days almost all big gambling websites are dependent with third party providers.
As per my knowledge bet365 is the most leading online gambling platform and if I am not wrong then they even use third party providers. It's just impossible for a casino not to use these providers. To become a big casino you need thousands of games, slots. For live-games you need millions of investments for the setup which is too expensive for a single hand business. The providers work for many casinos and that's how they balance the cost and earning. Everything has it's balance. Working with providers benefit both party and balancing the industry.
I am sorry, I have not checked TrustDice yet not even visited your homepage. If you are not using any provider then I am sure you are only limited to some original games. The business you do and the business gambling website like bet365 does will have miles of difference. I don't think there is anything you should have to underestimate a business who are using third party providers.
Just my two cents.
Hi BitcoinGirl.Club,
TrustDice offers over 6000+ casino & live casino games. So yes, we do work with game providers.
What I was referring to isn't about game providers. All operators work with them, and there are very few operators offering in-house games only these days.
What I was talking about concerns the back office, CRM system, affiliate management system, risk management system and etc. There are plenty of softwares on the market for each and every technical need of online casino operators. With a certain percentage of profits given to these softwares, an operator can quickly set up a brand new casino. They just need to design a new interface and that's it. Everything else can be rent from someone for a fee. Even the customer support can be outsourced and provided by a 3rd party, and if they don't mind, there are companies providing withdrawal reviews as well.
Player data security is obviously nonexistent in such a circumstance. A player will have its data accessed by only 5+ parties.
By using these 3rd party systems, there are a type of operators who constantly make new casinos, take some players' fund and exit scam. Each time a scam exists, a "new" crypto casino will be launched with a new name and the same core team. (I am not hinting Betnomi is of such a case. Just wanted to provide some industry insights as an insider)
