For some reason I suggested that the function should work as "Bookmarks" or "Favorites". Where all the topics are visible, but unread are highlighted with bold font (like topics in some forum subsection).
This suggestion is even interesting. Although the current form works very well for anyone who frequents the forum on a daily or almost daily basis.
Perhaps for those who have not come to the forum for a long time, and the topics that are under observation no longer have answers, they may no longer appear on the list.
