It's not that those addicts don't want to recover from their addiction but it's what's known as "relapse".
After rehabilitation, some if not most adficts have a tendency to get back to their previous habits (addiction).
Rehabilitation takes time and full recovery from addiction needs a strong will and strong personality from the addict himself. Yet, there will be always a possibility for relapse.

All the same, how hard it is for these people throughout their lives. Even having given up addiction, they, like a tightrope walker over the abyss, go through their life path, at any moment you can fall. After this, you understand how important it is for a person not to start, because the first time is like the first step on this cable car over the abyss for life.

Governments should reduce the aggressive advertising of various gambling houses, so that there are fewer people who will take the first step.

In rehabilitation, these addicts try to attend every available training to cure their gambling addiction gradually. And with the time given to gambling addicts to recover, they have to be really serious about undergoing rehabilitation. They should be able to reflect on what they got in playing gambling before and if they really regret it, rehabilitation should be a good place for them to heal themselves.

And preferably, during the rehabilitation period, the gambling addict continues to be accompanied by his family and provides support and encouragement that he deserves to heal himself and change his life for the better. This must be done so that the gambling addict does not feel alone in struggling to cure his gambling addiction so that he will be more enthusiastic about undergoing each rehabilitation session until it is time for him to cure his gambling addiction truly.

To begin with, how many gambling addicts go for rehabilitation??? This is not about drugs that could cause a psychic issue that would be easily noticed and calls for urgent concern, it's gambling and many of those people who are gambling addicts might at times not know by themselves and also at times, might not be noticed by others too. The latter has happened to me in 2013, despite being addicted to playing lotteries back then, none of my family members know despite living with them daily. I actually realised by myself that something was wrong, which made me fight it and was able to come out of it within two weeks.

I said all these to roar the inner mind of a gambling addict, it might be late before people started noticing and it could be so disastrous at that later stage. They, as adults are saddled with the responsibility of observing themselves regularly and exercising the necessary measure before it's too late. Everything should be done in moderation no matter how you love the thing, and in everything you do in gambling, gamble responsibly and be disciplined.
