Manchester City didn't win two trophies last season, they won a treble (EPL, CL and Fa Cup), and despite that outstanding feat, they are still favorites to retain all the trophies they won last season, though it definitely won't be easy. Having said that, Pep is so important for City, he is a serial winner who doesn't give any room for complacency, even as City won a treble last season, he would continue to push his players to win it again this season, that is why he is the best manager in the world.

All clubs stands the chance to win any of the trophies and I disagree with you that City will be able to repeat what they did last season by winning the treble even though they are the defending champion in the three competition. This season might surprise people with the outcome of the matches. Some clubs that we are looking up to for a great performance might disappoint their fans and clubs that we don't expect much from might surprise us with a good performance. The most consistent and lucky club will win this season.

There is no doubt that Manchester City is a very strong team. Last season was a season to remember for them. They won the Champions League title for the first time, together they won the treble. And yet Manchester City's squad is very strong. As Guardiola hasn't made too many changes to the squad, we can expect a consistent performance from Manchester City next season as well.

Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are spending big to strengthen their squads. Undoubtedly, their target will be the title next season. And so it will not be an easy task for Manchester City to dominate the Premier League next season. The Premier League will become more competitive next season. It is impossible to predict which team will be champions before the start of the season.
