We can't really know for sure. They might have been unprofitable, or maybe not. They ran some decent promotions on the forum and gave the impression that they had enough funds, up until the very end.

Ever since I joined this forum, I've read about some popular and long-lasting gambling platforms like YoloDice and Luckybit that shut down. It's not uncommon in the gambling world. But the owners of those platforms did the right thing, announcing the closure in advance, giving users time to withdraw their funds, and then closing down. Betnomi's owner, on the other hand, just disappeared without a word. Looks more like an exit scam to me rather than simply going bankrupt. But that's just my opinion.
