India won the Test series very well. But India's performance was not good against West Indies in the ODI series as well. Especially their batsmen's performance was poor. After the poor performance in the first two matches, they did not bring changes in the squad. However, the Indian batsmen batted brilliantly in the third match. They won the match by 200 runs. It was a great comeback.
After losing the first T20 match, perhaps the Indian management thought they would make a comeback in the second match. But the team could not perform well in the second match and was defeated. I am not satisfied with India's batting and bowling performance.
Tilak Varma has played well in the Indian squad and Pooran has performed well in the West Indies squad. Also, no batsman's performance was regular in the last two matches.
During the test series, they had all the star players representing them, including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammed Siraj. However for the ODI and T20I series, the selectors decided to rest several of players and opted to give chances to some of the bench players. And from what we can see, this hasn't worked out very well. Rather than directly inducting these players to the national team, it would have been better to first give them some match practice by selecting for the India A tours.
