The problem in the case of limiting the gambling addict's access to gambling is quite difficult.  Such a player himself constantly comes up with an obsessive thought that he needs to play and win back a loss or win and rejoice.
Not all people who are addicted to gambling are able to overcome themselves and at least temporarily, for example, for a week or two, simply do not turn on the computer at all.  But if such a person turns on the computer, this already means that he will go to a site with a gambling game.  And of course keep playing.  So the difficulty of the situation lies in overcoming this first step.  In my example, this is turning on the computer.
If addictions were already difficult to overcome before the internet became and integral part of our lives now this is even harder thanks to the internet, and this is not only a problem with gambling as now online casinos are everywhere and they follow you no matter where you go if you have a smartphone.

But this is even the case with drugs which can be easily accessed on the black markets or even on social media, and unless a person is completely convinced about trying to leave their life as an addicted person behind, then they will always find a way to go back to their former habits.
With the various facilities that we have today, it seems that gambling addicts also find it easy to channel their desire to play gambling so that only by using their smartphones they can visit their favorite casinos to play gambling. He can play gambling in public places without anyone knowing about it.

This problem becomes more complicated when the gambling addict does not want to tell what he is doing with his smartphone or computer and just stays silent in his room with the excuse that he is doing something. This requires the family's participation to approach family members one by one to find out if everything is really okay. And if one of them seems unwell, other family members can immediately help solve the problem. And when they are not yet a gambling addict, they should stay within their limits so that when they play gambling, they can still be responsible and know when to stop gambling.
All this applies to a very large extent to fairly young people and, of course, to adolescents.  In this case, there really should be some control on the part of parents or older brothers.  Because of course such a young person may become addicted to gambling and may even begin to experience an irresistible desire to gamble more and more.  So what you said is important for young people.

If we talk about a person who is a middle-aged or even older gambler, then I think that such methods of control and assistance will most likely not help a person effectively get rid of gambling addiction.  Of course, this is very difficult for family members and for the player himself, but I think that the help of specialists is still required here, that is, those people who know well how all family members and the player himself should behave in order to recover from such a gambling addiction.
