It's still to soon for him to take this path and it's best for him to find another hobby because he is still studying.

That the purpose of the family and friends surrendoed by him so they can help him to recover with too much gambling addiction and get back to its current pathways, people encourage to play gambling because they see the potential of it to earn more than they are earning, allowance, and other source of income. People I've seen with this meet a psychiatrist so they can analyze the case of the persons addiction and give a remedy to them and not as immediate quitting gambling still there's other form or way. Your gambling addiction also has an impact to your environment through your actions. So your not the only one suffers with this but also people around you.

There are some countries where a person still has a monthly income of $80 to max $500 but through gambling a person can become a million dollar owner very quickly. That is why people jump into gambling very quickly but they only focus on gambling profits and never think about its losses. When those people win something from gambling, they panic more and dive deeper into gambling and sometimes lose several times more than what they have gained from gambling. It happens to all greedy people and never to any particular person
