This is a Problem with Bangladesh and actually a very long lasting problem. They are inconsistent, Bangladesh considering the performances they sometimes do and talents they harness in local leagues should easily be in top 5 cricketing nations but it's always their inconsistency that stops them from becoming a great team, in a few games they'll play like they have no competition and in a few as if they can't give competition.

The biggest problem for Bangladesh is they do not have other players ready to replace a player in the team if someone is not performing well. Bangladesh depends on certain players to perform well. That is the way and that has been the web Bangladesh has been playing for almost forever. And if those players do not perform, Bangladesh cannot win. Right now, Bangladesh does not even have reliable players, to be honest. Shakib Al Hasan was not able to perform well in the first innings. And there was absolutely nobody to actually steady the ship for Bangladesh.

I will also say that it was a bad decision taken by Bangladesh to bat first. Because the track actually got better over time. But still, there is no excuse for how bad the performance was from Bangladesh.
