Several posts in this and some other threads do give off the appearance of being thinly veiled attempts to promote competing privacy services. It seems odd that people who advertised failed mixer after failed mixer are so laser focused on Wasabi. Custodial mixers aren’t held to nearly the same standard despite having a much higher risk of losing money. It is only natural to question people’s motivations when attacking one service but ignoring or downplaying glaring problems with custodial mixers.

Excellent explanation. After already stealing coins from Bitcointalk users with their two previous mixing sites "Chipmixer" and "Whirlwind.Money", BlackHatCoiner and o_e_l_e_o are being paid up to $6 per post to lure victims from Bitcointalk into their newest "Mixing Site" scam, MixTum.io:

Sr/Hero/Legendary: $6/Post (avatar + signature + personal text)
Sr/Hero/Legendary: $1/Post (avatar + personal text)

If we stop advertising products that might turn out to be scams in the future, then there is nothing left to advertise.

They would rather promote scams as long as they get a share of the profit than promote open source software that protects your privacy.

We do know that zkSNACKS coordinator submits data to blockchain analysis companies, but we don't know which ones they are and what criteria are used for excluding people from CoinJoins.

This is a lie.  Coordinators cannot collect any data from Wasabi users.

Now, Kruw, hold up! You are about to write: 'But but but you can run your own coordinator!!'. I know.
It should be easy to understand how that's a stupid answer to address our concerns.
1) Any other user connecting to my coordinator won't be able to know that I'm not doing shady stuff (like zkSNACKS), therefore not solving the issue on an existential level.

Your concern is addressed on an existential level: Wasabi users never have to trust coordinators.

Questioning is one thing; accusations without proof are different.

I've already provided the proof of mixing sites being scams and of users in this thread being paid to lure victims from Bitcointalk to these sites:

I'm really pissed off, and not because I lost money; fortunately, I had grasped that "don't leave coins to third parties" cliché. I'm so pissed off because I've been advertising and recommending this shit for months, in such a way that I'm practically part of this scam. And it's just feels awful.

It makes you question the integrity of the service you're currently carrying in your signature.

If you don't believe me, just look at the past 40 pages of posts on this thread.  You'll see it FILLED with scammers their advertising "Mixing Services", trying to trick Wasabi users into giving up their coins and privacy.

I believe the difference is that with custodial mixers we know about the risks and issues, they aren't trying to hide them or anything. We are all aware of 'not your keys, not your coins'. If we still choose to use a centralized mixer, it means we made an informed decision to hand over custody for a certain amount of time.

BlackHatCoiner has been lying to people by saying giving up custody is a REQUIREMENT for gaining privacy:

I'm very much aware of the shit coming from the cryptocurrency space. Nonetheless, there exist legit services which require you to forfeit custody, and you'll have to grasp that part.

But that's the price you have to pay when you trust your coins to some stranger. You may never get them back.

Of course, this is a lie BlackHatCoiner is trying to spread so he can scam more people since coinjoins are completely non custodial, you never have to forfeit anything or trust your coins with anyone.

You're defending what you're believing. Emotions run strong but red font warnings aren't necessary.

It's not a "belief", it's "proof".  These scammers have been already been caught red handed using this thread to steal money from Bitcointalk users for MONTHS with their mixing site scams "Chipmixer" and "Whirlwind.Money".

But as for wallet itself, IMO it's definitely better than some Bitcoin wallet out there (assuming they don't perform other form of action which could harm privacy outside it's CoinJoin feature).

Coinjoin does not harm a user's privacy.
