Eddie Howe got 2 great opponents in the EPL opener. Man City and Liverpool, but Brighton's last game they also lost 1-3. I think since Newcastle are owned by PIF from Saudi Arabia they will be stronger. The reason is because they have a lot of abundant funds to buy new players. But I was wrong, they didn't buy many big players for this season. So if performance drops it's not surprising. But for UCL I agree with you, Howe hasn't had much experience in Europe.

Talking about Newcastle, I don't mean to think this team is weak or not strong enough. precisely what caught my attention was on the coach, I thought Eddie Howe had to change his pattern of play. otherwise they will find it difficult to compete in this competition, or its domestic league. I don't mean, that Eddie Howe is incompetent. but IMO, purely because of their style of play. if in Serie A, there is AC Milan. Yes, their playing pattern is not much different from Milan "last season". BTW, this is my personal opinion.

Referring to Newcastle's opponents in this competition, Newcastle will meet Milan at the Sansiro. A tough match for Eddie Howe's squad, especially as their performance is declining. On the contrary, it looks like Milan are now showing a difference. even though I rarely watch Serie A, at least there are lots of references that I can collect to become data. Back to Newcastle, my feeling is that Eddie Howe will only coach Newcastle until this season ends. after that, Newcastle will look for a much more experienced coach. plus, bringing in really quality players. But, this is just my assumption and speculation. for sure, in football is unique. Let's see how Newcastle do their game in this competition.
