~snip~

Newcastle poor performance at the start of the season made their chances even smaller, they were only able to win 1 win and 3 defeats in the 4 matches they had played in the Premier League. The negative results obtained by Newcastle in the EPL make me doubt that Newcastle will be able to go further in the UCL, especially since their coach doesn't have enough experience in the UCL.
Eddie Howe got 2 great opponents in the EPL opener. Man City and Liverpool, but Brighton's last game they also lost 1-3. I think since Newcastle are owned by PIF from Saudi Arabia they will be stronger. The reason is because they have a lot of abundant funds to buy new players. But I was wrong, they didn't buy many big players for this season. So if performance drops it's not surprising. But for UCL I agree with you, Howe hasn't had much experience in Europe.
Even before the season started I had already known that Newcastle will have to struggle no matter the amount of players they buy they will still struggle because they have two major leagues to compete for, that is the English Premier League and the Champions League. In both leagues I can say that they are new because it has been long Newcastle saw the top four of the English Premier League. This means they are still new in the English Premier League top flight and in the Champions League, they are even newer so it will be difficult for them to manage both leagues together. The best they will do is to concentrate on one and see how they can succeed. However, they even have a hard luck to be in the deadliest group in the champions league. I do not expect much from Newcastle this season.
