Waking up to discover Eric Bailly's transfer to Besiktas finalised on Fabrizio Romano's Twitter account. Manchester United has released another player this season, this time a defender who has been unreliable and prone to injuries. Erik Ten Hag did not include him in his season initiatives, therefore the Red Devils provided him the green light to leave this summer. It's obviously awesome news for the Ivorian footballer who is leaving Old Trafford for a new team. As a result of the new boss's indifference, he will now get typical regular game time.

Bailly is an excellent defender, and I admire his football style and defensive approach. Injury was his worst rival, and his time at Manchester United did not yield fruit for him for a long time. He is already experienced and has superior football skills than the defenders from his new team, Besiktas. I'm confident he'll dominate the defence and get more playing time than he gets at Manchester United. I hope the injury doesn't keep him from getting adequate playing time at Besiktas in the future.

Ramos passed up the opportunity for a big salary for the club that has made his name as a professional footballer, he is estimated to earn around 2 million euros per year, the amount is 10x less than the offers he got in Saudi Arabia. However, Ramos can still play in the top flight with Sevilla, he can enjoy more challenging competition for the rest of his career. Perhaps he prefers the honor of being able to retire with his boyhood club over money.

When Ramos proclaiming to announce his retirement from football, I cherish his decision to play for his boycott team. Passing up a large salary offer for this team demonstrates how close and appreciable he is to them. This is what renowned players like him are expected to do. I hope that other great players like him return to their boycott teams when they are ready to retire from football. This also demonstrates that, despite his age, he is still ready to play competitive football. I wish him the best of luck in his new career.
