It's still early in the season and there's still a lot of time for the teams to improve, Barcelona currently looks weak in terms of defense but Real Madrid also has problems in the front line, in the last few matches Real Madrid has had quite a hard time scoring goals.
So I think these two top La Liga teams have different problems now, but how these teams can handle them and get out of these problems will be profitable for them to be able to chase the title this season.

If it is about performance from this two teams, I don’t always think too much about their success in the league. They also face hard time like other teams but it does not always affect them too much to the depth that they won’t be able to compete for the title race. The title race always remains between the two of them and sometimes Atletico Madrid also tries their best but not as much as the two of them do compete with each other. Their lack of consistency maybe in the defence or attacking line won’t be a big issue for them because it can easily be fixed between now and their next match which I am certain they will both perform better and excellently well.

Barcelona team is in very good form in La Liga. Having won the title last season and this season the team will be looking to do well in La Liga as well as the Champions League due to which they have added several new players to the team.
