I don't believe anyone is expecting Newcastle to do anything like what Chelsea did in the season they won the champion league against all odds, Chelsea are actually a big club and I'm surprised they don't have more champions league trophy to their name. The current Chelsea squad (when they get their shit together) can do more damage then the Newcastle team. In the champions league experience has a major role to play and that's why we won the title ahead of Manchuria city because it was their first time getting to the final but they won the next time they made it to the final which is the just concluded season. Newcastle progressing in the champion league is going to make them weak in the premier league because they can't handle both pressure.

I see no point in comparing Newcastle and Chelsea - these are completely two different clubs (even if Chelsea are doing worse now). I compare Newcastle to Porto or any other underdog that once every 20 years has a chance to surprise everyone.
