Because the time you become a public figure, you are now responsible on your audience because that is your job and you're getting paid for it, and might as well do your job properly. Because for you to become an influencer, you should have a wide knowledge about a certain expertise, for example crypto, and you should be able to influence your audience positively. I have known several influencers, and I still follow them up until now because they've become a big help for me when I was just starting to learn about crypto.

Yes, there are way too many of them who only do it for the money and the fame, which results with them not caring about anything else, including their followers. If it means that they would get more followers and more money, they would let you lose money, which would be weird and difficult because if they make you lose money then it would be hard for them to grow, so they do have an incentive to make you profit.

However, just because they have incentive for it doesn't mean that they will only do that, they do not care about that, they will make the loss look like a good thing and they will end up promoting themselves even harder with the money they got in order to make more and more profit that way.
