The coyotes and hogs have returned now that it's getting cooler, and looks like I'll be needing to bring my rifles with me this time of year, and have them in the tractor with me.

I don't relish the thought of culling invasive species, but the coyotes killed one of our calves this past season, and the hogs just fuck up fields everywhere.

Are the hogs good for eating, have you eaten a wild invasive hog?

I saw wild hogs near Marseille FR, don't know how much of a "problem" it is outside of the US

Wild hogs are not native to North America so they were only a problem in Europe until some idiots decided to import them in the 1980s. It was an idea right up there with the "great alternative meat source" escapades of the 1990's when somebody thought the addition of Rhea, Emu and Ostrich meat was a great idea. Who would have thought people in North America would be uninterested in a new type of dark meat chicken with less fat? I can't understand how Ostrich McNuggets didn't catch on. Oh well, at least they don't proliferate if let into the wild - those wild hogs however are an entirely different story.
