None of those countries are surrounded by war or threats of bombing. I was in Jordan last year, and I can tell you that DHL has little presence even in a peaceful Middle Eastern country like Jordan. Earlier this year I wanted to send two used laptops to my aunt and uncle in Jordan, but logistically it was a nightmare to get it done. I ended up waiting until another relative was going back for visit, and sent them with him.

I'm not trying to defend the OP or support his claims, but this attempt to discount them isn't accurate.
