Your academy degree doesn't guarantee a job especially with the government in some countries. That means getting degree for job depends on the country you leave. In Nigeria,due to corruption, a man with no degree that can speak English can be offer a government job while graduate with degree may not get any.
That remind of countless ghost workers that have occupied the government houses, it's embarrassing and disgracing that a non- certificate liver will be included in pay roll while the people that goes to school have nothing to rely on. They will not included their family members that are secondary school leavers while the main students that attend qualified university with the degree have nothing, how is the government going to progress?
Well, education is very important for the society, if not for anything, it will reduce the rate of illiterates and help to expose many people to education, it helps you get basic understanding of life as well but not a requirement to be successful in life.
