Borussia Dortmund would have been in that position but the team's board is all about making hugh profits from the sales of talented players in the club. Having no stands to fight with the Bavarians for the title because there's absolutely no current players left to fight, all have been sold to elite teams, I think is high time they start using these brilliant players to fight for Bundesliga title.

Dortmund have sold their key players so they won't be upset at all because it's their business. Dortmund play on the emotions of their supporters. Whenever they see a talented player in their club they sell that player to another club at a high price. Jude Bellingham is not the first talented player that Dortmund have sold, the club has sold many talented players before. Trading is not wrong but should get the most out of those talented players and then trade them. If Dortmund had kept all the talented players they have sold so far and focused on improving the club's performance, they could have been the best in Europe by now. We will see something similar from this club in the coming seasons as well. They never play for honor their main objective is to earn money.

Dortmund's performance is not that bad. Im not seeing if selling the players has been preventing dortmund from moving forward. In fact, dortmund can still play better from one week to another week. Im thinking that if what you are saying was not true.
Dortmund has not yet faced hard fixtures and the club is still achieving a very good result as still being unbeaten till this time. Dortmund sees it as the possible business to be running on.
This is also making the club forced to sell its important players. Dortmund needs also to keep its financial to be stable. Using the income from selling merchandise or playing in bundesliga was not enough to make its balance sheets become stable.
This is also the reason why dortmund keeps try to sell its important players. I shall give applause to the scouting team of this club. It makes dortmund was able producing a lot of talented players.

The performance of the Dortmund team can not be called very good and can not be called bad they are currently in the middle position. But last season this team performed exceptionally well in the end. As there are many more matches in this season, it can be expected that the team will return to their best performance in a big way.
