I believe that increase in energy prices affect so many sector that it sometime affects the price of goods much more than anticipated, there are many cases where quite literally a small amount of increase could affect the overall price of goods tremendously but when the price of energy is decreasing the price of these goods aren't reducing instead they just stay.
thats the silly thing with current pricing of many goods, even more so with basic needs.
there is reason why many country always on the lookout of the price of the fuel, to prevent much more inflation from seeping into their economy.

Oh, don't even start with the stuff. A minor increase in energy causes the price of things to suddenly and dramatically rise. But do the prices of these things also decrease when energy prices fall? They don't, though. They simply sit there, taking advantage of the elevated position

Businesses strive to make the most money possible in this crazy environment. And I do understand. But it's the common man who feels the pinch. Countries are wise; they constantly monitor fuel prices. They know the domino effect it can have. Inflation is like a shadow that is constantly on the prowl. We must constantly be alert, ready, and organized. We must make sure that everyone benefits from the economy, not just the major players. Let's control those costs so that everyone has a better future
