The champ isn't devastated after the match and his opponent shouldn't be moving like he received no damage. Don't you remember in what conditions Islam was compared to Volkanovski after the match? Haven't they announced that the winner of Chimaev Vs Usman will get a shot against Strickland? I've heard that somewhere but don't know if it was only a rumour or confirmed information.

I guess UFC are too cautious to make such announcements.

I read articles that say that Dana White confirmed that statement. Also, Khamzat Chimaev warned Sean Strickland that he is coming for him.
