If we don't come down firmly on AI now, eventually there will be automated posting services... Multi-accounting shitposters are too lazy to invent them themselves but they would certainly pay to have something write on their behalf. I'm reminded of the case of Petulino who claims to have paid a "friend" to write posts on his behalf... the only problem is his friend was using AI and slightly tweaking the results to evade the detectors.

I'm willing to bet half the posts written in those cricket and football discussion threads are AI-generated. They seem to be translated from some news source and then run through AI, but I can't exactly prove it.

The issue of AI plagiarized responses is a serious problem not only here on bitcointalk but everywhere and tackling it is becoming a challenge... and trust me there's no straight forward way to stop it. I have seen myself many posts where I can bet those posts are written by AI, because I have interacted with those members and I know how they write (I don't want to name please) but I'm damn sure those posts are not original and not from them.
You are talking about sports discussions I have seen AI written poste in Meta... Meta where everything should be "bitcointalk" + "you", but no... AI is breaking us apart there too.
I don't know how we can stop them... but one this is for sure it's ruing the fun
