Well, as far as kyc helps casinos operate better without any regulatory issues, it's still a risk for gamblers regardless of how reputable the casino holding the kyc document is or are.

It's a risk in the sense that, those document could be stolen, hacked and sold in the dark web, or the casino itself, most especially new ones, may decide to sell those documents to third party companies for money, while the third party company may decide to use the informations contained in the documents for illegal activities which if care is not taken, may affect or put in the trouble, the real owner of such details contained in the document.

This is why as harmless as submitting a kyc for verification is, there is still risk involved, and we must always be very careful where or which casino we are submitting our private information to.
