The thing be to say bitcoin in Nigeria is like a weed in Nigeria,  despite government ban am people still dey use am,  and I believe say no be only for Nigeria that thing they happen,  and why such things dey happen na because say people love the thing,  even if no be everybody,  but few that take the time to understand the love it,  and the reason why Bitcoin promotion,  adoption and marketing is slow is Nigeria is due to the fear that government placed on citizens that made it hard for them to publicity accept Bitcoin as an alternative.

But the thing be said,  as weak and unwise as the government through the central bank is,  with their stands against bitcoin it has made it easy for Bitcoin /crypto users in Nigeria to avoid tax on bitcoin and other cryptocurrency earnings.

The fact is that the government of Nigeria lack the where weather to regulate decentralized currencies like bitcoin and that is why they tend to either pay a deaf ear to it or make a blanket ban on its easy excess through bank but decentralization gave birth to bit P2P,  which make the sell and buy of bitcoin and other digital assets easy.
