There's another point if success in bitcoin investment's relative to how much you're investing. Today you're going to have to pay $35k if you want to buy bitcoin. How many ppl have enough to spare so they're able to buy a full bitcoin? If you're buying $100 you won't make sized profit even if you didn't sell for 2 years.
