But squad depth comes into play, the need for Gundo and De Jong comes into play. Xavi will have quite a difficult task going forward because he has to quickly get his team back into shape, De Jong who’s probably just recovering might mot be fully fit to begin play immediately except he’s ready to risk it and get into another injury anytime soon. Fermin Lopez will be a preferable option as against De Jong’s full recovery.
This is the biggest setback to the 19-year Spanish international. He injured the anterior cruciate ligament and the lateral meniscus of his right leg which will require surgery. The young player is already the fans' favorite and will be missed by the squad due to his uncommon positive contribution to the team. The club has some good reserved players but Xavi Hernandez should consider signing a new midfielder this January to ensure that the team have more alternatives.

Griona looks like the type of team that may have a few losses in a row, it wouldn't really shock anyone, they are not much better than everyone else, and just because they are at the top now, doesn't change their talent level. I believe they are going to end up dropping soon.
Girona FC has never been on top of the Laliga is not a criterion to right them off. Míchel Sánchez has turned this side into a force in the Spanish league and we should recognize that. They have a good attack that can penetrate any defense in the league but he still needs to work in the defense to reduce the number of goals they conceive. When Leicester City was topping the EPL in 2016, everyone thought it was a joke until they won League.
