Basically, it is mandatory for a striker to have lots of goals in every season. So yes, although so far Lukaku still looks good at AS Roma having managed to have good goals too, but I'm not completely impressed. Because after all, a good performance like that but in reality it still can't make AS Roma compete well in the top four. Because yes, if Lukaku is really impressive, then AS Roma should not be in 7th place with only 18 points currently in the Serie A standings. Indeed, I also realize that this is not only Lukaku responsibility but yes, of course the responsibility for all the players are also in the AS Roma squad at this moment. Therefore, it would be more impressive if AS Roma managed to compete in the top four but unfortunately, it is still difficult for AS Roma to reach the highest position in Serie A.

But I am not saying that Lukaku is the man in the Serie A. He is doing a good job for Roma, could be better though! He is doing remarkable for Belgium and everything combined I think it's a decent performance. But Roma is too weak in general to compete for the top four.

Lukaku has become very ferocious lately and this cannot be separated from his goal contributions for Rome and Belgium. On average, he can always score 1 goal and apart from that, this is good progress for him amidst the issue of declining performance last season. Currently Lukaku has become an important player for the teams he plays for everywhere and that means a lot to him. The competition in the top 4 is still quite difficult for Roma and maybe they have to add more players in the winter so they can be more consistent in maximizing results in every match.
