Probably not.

Ratimov/ Symmetrick likely waived / withdrawn his merit source role in the forum. A merit source with 1000 sourced merit is a big one and I can not think of any merit source that likely removed recently than Ratimov/ Symmetrick.

I don't know the account was sold or still belongs to the real owner. OP did not give any proof for this accusation so for now, I assume it is an invalid one because of Presumption of innocence.
