I have a question though (please don't take it as criticism, as it's not criticism, but merely curiosity): isn't it possible that the lamination to fully-cover the card? As I shown in that picure from above, there is like 1mm distance between that film covering it and the margins of the card. This was also what made me think that the respective film should be removed

Isn't it possible to have it covering the card entirely?in no way do i take this as criticism. i am actually very happy that users/customers are thinking about our product and making suggestions/ideas for improvement
to come back to your question about the 'complete' lamination of the card, it is technically not possible for us to laminate the cards as a 'whole' - unfortunately our hardware does not allow us to do this
