Aston Villa is the dark horse this season and is ready to kick out the traditional teams that always occupy the top five rankings. Even though Aston Villa managed to get three points from strong teams like Arsenal and Manchester City, they are not strong candidates to win the championship. But there is nothing wrong with Emery being able to maintain the consistency of his squad then the EPL title will be theirs. However, finishing in the top four is very rational for them.
I don’t think Aston Villa will last the course. They’ve done incredibly well to be at the top of the table but I don’t think it’ll last. Then again, I thought that about Leicester too when they won it.
I think like you said, a real success for Aston Villa would be to get CL football. That would be massive for a club like them. Whilst they are up at the top of the league though, they can dream.
Aston Villa really amazed me yesterday by holding Arsenal and keeping all three points to themselves at home.
Their stand on the table is sure unless other teams like Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester city all wake from slumber and refuse to loose any further, then the pressure will be on them till the end of season to remain in that spot or climb up.
Today's match for Chelsea will be expected to end in favor of Chelsea, because they are really one of the worst big clubs now and this win is really needed for them.
