They each don't just want a part of the land, they both want all of it. The Palestinians want the whole of the area that Israel occupies, while Israel wants all of the areas that Palestine occupies. So where do they go from there? There is no common ground. There is nowhere either of them can be satisfied. This is because even if Israel occupies more than half of the current area of Palestine, they'll never be satisfied as far as Palestinians are still their neighbors. After all, they'll believe they'll always try to hurt them. The same goes for Palestine too.
A border won't solve the problem too because neither of them will recognize it.

Both people have so much hatred for each other to the point that they do not just want their lands, but each wants the other people to go extinct. One must seize to exist for the other to be satisfied.
Israel has the favor of the international community, so they can carry out their attacks under the guise of self-defense.
One thing that fuels the propaganda against Palestine is the fact that some Middle Eastern countries are known to shelter terrorists. At a point, you can't differentiate the government from terrorist organizations.

If Palestine attacks Israel it would be termed "Terrorism" but when Israel attacks Palestine it's "war". If the reports I read are to be believed then they're both terrorists to me. The problem is Israelis and people who support Israel cheer when Israel attacks Palestine while Palestinians and people who support Palestine cheer when Palestine attacks Israel. That is not the way forward. Both attacks should be condemned by both parties.

i agree that both parties should stop and have a ceasefire for the sake of their own citizens
but the reason why this is unfair is because Israel has control over the Palestinians they can cut off the electricity and even internet access in Palestine they can even decide what goes in and out of Palestine making it hard for the Palestinians to receive donations meanwhile Palestine do not have that capability so from that alone it’s obvious who has more political and military power

who is the oppressed and the oppressor? staying neutral will do nothing but further allow the oppressor to oppress the oppressed. if Israel stops fighting, there’ll be no war but if Palestine stops fighting, there’ll be no more Palestine.

Dua, the Palestinians have no choice but to fight, because they are fighting for their existence as a people.

The people of Palestine cannot go for a frontal confrontation against Israel or resort to terrorism, like Hamas has done, because they would have no chance due to the right alliance the State of Israel have with the United States and the Western nations in general. Attacking violently to Israel would only accelerate the destruction of what is left of Palestine.
So what is the solution? I am not sure,nthe only certain thing I can point out to is the fact Palestine counts with much support within the West from left political organizations and politicians who serve as lobbyist for the Palestine people (not Hamas). If there was a away for them to leverage on that support and completely isolate themselves from those terrorist organizations, then it could turn into a game changer in favor of them.
Unfortunately, it is quite obvious Hamas and other terrorist organizations are not willing to distance themselves from Palestine civilians, they need more future combatants and collaborators.
