Girona, having played the same amount of matches that all the top teams in La Liga have played, is still able to lead the table by two points compared to the second position team which is Real Madrid. That is obviously surprising for a lot of people including me. I never thought that Girona was going to lead the La Liga title. But that has happened and I think we have to give them credit for that. It is not easy for a team like them to lead La Liga when almost every year the table is dominated by Real Madrid and Barcelona.
