No, Xabi Alonso will never be the same as the Xavi who is currently coaching Barcelona, Xavi got it all he had the perfect squad but this season they failed they couldn't play well enough.
Even though this happened because several players were injured, a great coach will always be able to make the best of the situation and conditions.
Meanwhile, Xabi himself started from scratch, he built Leverkusen into a really strong team from the bottom and just look at how Leverkusen has developed in the last few seasons, Leverkusen can really perform well while under Xabi's control.
When Xabi was with Real Madrid, it was hoped that he could make Real Madrid the same as Leverkusen, where they performed well and were able to be at the top in every competition they participated in.

Maybe Leverkusen will be very busy later because they have to find a replacement coach who might be on par with Xabi.
