anything you are doing in life, will affect on you positively or negatively. nothing wrong in doing gambling untill anyone become so addicted and doing such thing aggressively all the day. addiction will lead you towards many bad habits and i saw lot of stray, broken relationships due to gambling habits. All this happens because avid gamblers, who have seen victories, have a devaluation of money in their minds. They understand that sometimes casinos share money and why work at a full-time job if you can get money through slot machines? or batting for example.

The most expensive things on earth are those we get free, but the money we gain through gambling is not free. Somehow the gambler pays to get the win. However it's not the main motive of gambling, though, many gamblers have turned it into their most important motive of venturing into gambling. In life, we have to spend or lose something for another, so gambling can affect our relationship in some ways that we may not describe. Gamblers would think that it's only when they're addicted that people or loved ones would get upset about the gambler's habit. However, I realized that by focusing on gambling and doing it consistently, even when not addicted, the gambler's spouse can get angry and begin to complain about it. Especially if the girl came from a family that doesn't accept gambling no matter the odds. While the gambler in the response by summonerrk, may be seen as the one people would hate, can be lucky to end up with a loving spouse, who will stand by them and try to change them for good. I'd always say that gambling works for people differently, same with luck. Gambling doesn't end in the casino alone, whatever thing happening in the life of a gambler should seem to him as gambling.

We can't predict those who will get sad or upset our our mistakes. Same way our results in gambling are not predictable, that's how people in relationships can't be known to go or stay if their friend, goes astray due to gambling addiction. A member of the forum once testified in his response that his girlfriend stood by him during his struggling days with gambling addiction. Which helped him to survive problem gambling to date. He wasn't just addicted, he lost all his money in gambling. One would say or think that every woman would abandon such a man. But the opposite happened. That's why we can't conclude whether gambling can break every relationship. It's all about the rapport between the people in the relationship. Gambling addiction is fast cured through this relationship, but because the gambler is now toxic or low on money, people close to him, who are his best therapists, begin to let go of him, penalizing his actions and making him suffer more in the future.
