Not defending KnC at all, but I would have to say they did come through on their promise of not shipping any device in Dec 2013, Jan and Feb 2014. They waited until March to start building and bringing their massive mining operation online.

Wrong. They started building the datacentre at the very beginning of February 2014.

The fact they had the keys to the building and already had materials to start building suggests they started planning it from mid-January, if not earlier.

The video where Andreas is interviewed in front of a wall of hashing boards was posted here on the 12th February. So they were already hashing in the datorhall by the 12th February.

It was in the works in 2013. There's a lead time attached to ASIC fabrication, their chips would have had to of been ordered sometime prior to Dec of 2013.
