^ But keep in mind that Man City hasn't played their match vs I think Sheffield United as it was postponed. It's safe to assume that they're going to win the match and that puts them at second place with 43 points.
It was not Sheffield, they already played them actually. It was the match against Brentford that was postponed because of the Club World Cup.
As for the result of Liverpool vs Newcastle United, it's not surprising. Newcastle's away form is so terribad that even midtable clubs could win against them any day. But of course the midtable clubs this season are Man United, Chelsea, Brighton and West Ham.

All decent clubs.
If Liverpool keep winning like this then even the Pep machine will not be able to catch up this time (you know, win every game, because you have the best squad depth in the world).
I know Chelsea have a record vs City but come on, really? You're telling me that United can beat this City team after they got trounced 3-0 last time?
Wut? What I said was all the midtable clubs this season aren't the usual midtable clubs we see every year. These guys are usually top 4 clubs and what I said that they would win against Newcastle at home at any day of the week because Newcastle's away form is terribad.
I hope that clears that up,

RESULT:
West Ham United 0-0 Brighton and Hove Albion
With a point each, West Ham United stay in 6th place but Brighton move up a place to 7th and push Manchester United down to 8th by virtue of goals scored even though the points and goal difference is the same.
These are the games taking place this weekend:
Saturday 13th January
Chelsea vs Fulham
Newcastle United vs Manchester City
Sunday 14th January
Everton vs Aston Villa
Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur
Monday 15th January
Burnley vs Luton Town
West London Derby with Chelsea vs Fulham... That game will be played with much tenacity and I wouldn't be surprised if they win the match seeing that momentum is at their side.
Man United vs Tottenham, I think a lot of people would side with Tottenham here as United have been terrible this season. But I'd say just stay away as United in the Theatre of Dreams could disappoint they away side.
