Failing is more like a lesson learnt and when you're bouncing back, you're becoming more open and graded in good position of succeeding. Making attempts and failing would discouraged one from taking more steps, instead he settle for lesser results. Rooney still has a long way to go to become a professional coach, so keep trying because becoming a coach is not easy. Rooney may have been a shining star as a player in the past but that doesn't mean he can hold the same position as a coach. There have been many star players in the past and trying to make a career as a coach ended up not being a good fit. I don't know why but I think being a coach requires having the ability not only to practice but to be supported by the theory learned. Compared to most theories, the practice is lacking sometimes making the coach quite recognized on the field. Everyone has their own portion of their career and those who are great coaches today, even when they were still playing on the field, did not stand out.
