At least an agreement has been reached between MU and dortmund. So, jadon's transfer to the dortmund is entering final process. Manchester united hopes that jadon can go back to his best performance after he played for dortmund again, but im doubting it.
This may probably helping sancho to regain his confidence but the worst thing if terzic will not give him a place in the starting lineup if he will show same performance like when he played for manchester united.

I think it's a nice decision for him to move back to his former club where he will have opportunity to play again since the Manchester United coach doesn't want him to play again because of the issue involving them two and it's a good thing for him since he's understood the playing pattern of the Dortmund team and he won't find it difficult to adopt to the team all so all he needs now is the to regain his self confidence as you said and he needs to be given a little time to since he's not been involved in active football since he's issues with Erik ten hag.

Normally, you try to get the maximum benefit from a player you bought with a high transfer fee, but that was not the case with Jadon Sancho.
