I hope they will play well and go through this month smoothly but it is common challenge for many clubs in Premier League because they have many African players. Asian players are not too commonly used in Premier League clubs but African players are.

Over many years, I did not know why the African Cup always is hosted in middle of season in Europe and I did not do research about it. From the World Cup 2022 in Qatar, I guess that it is solely because of weather condition in Africa continent to make January is like a best month to host their big tournament.

Do anyone actually know about reasons behind it with information resource?

In last one decade we have too many African players in Premier League with most of the time when we have Afcon few clubs have serious consequences for this as well but no one can do anything because mostly players love to play for their country, so clubs have to arrange for this. January and February are the ideal month s for these games in this region, and they also want they never have any issue with World Cup main events.

In June, July and August we have hot weather which is never been ideal for any games in this region which is also main reason so most they try to have this in these months.
