I knew that Girona will at some point surprise their supporters, I never knew it will happen so fast even with a team they could have beaten easily. Now they are standing at the top of the league with just one leg and any little breeze will sweep them off from there. Everything is now pointing in the direction of Real Madrid to win the league. Assuming Barcelona was able to stop them tonight, then Girona's hope would have still been alive.

When Barcelona beat Real Madrid in practically every competition last season, Barcelona fans believed they had a great team; nevertheless, they have finally seen the difference in quality. If Barcelona does not improve this season, they may finish outside the top four.

I doubt that Barcelona fans will even dare make arguments this season because Barcelona have not been the great team we used to know. I don't see what they will be too proud of this season because as it stands now, there chances of winning the league is very slim. With Madrid leading them with seven points with an outstanding match and the season already halfway gone, Barcelona will really need luck to catch up with Madrid.
