If they had tried to bat patiently, they could have scored a little more runs in the first innings in the first Test match. The second innings had more batting failures than the first innings. So how the West Indies team will perform in the next Tests depends on the West Indies batsmen and bowlers, if they can perform well, they can certainly do well in the second Test. Of course the West Indies batsmen and bowlers should learn from the first Test that they need to improve their batting and bowling otherwise they will never get a Test series against Australia.
