Undoubtedly, the current squad of Paris Saint Germaine isn't the best they've had in the last five years. When Lionel Messi joined the club, Paris Saint Germaine arguably had best forward line in world football then but never did the presence of the four times winner inspire them to at least reach the semi final of the competition and that's why a lot of people have already written them off from the list of favorite teams that will win the UEFA Champions League title this season.
Neymar and Lionel Messi aren't in the PSG squad again but I think they still have a team who are capable of winning the UEFA Champions League competition this season and the fact that they're been managed by a former winner of the competition makes it very possible for them to surprise everyone and reach the final of the competition.
I don't think that will happen, PSG this season is not much better than the previous season so I think it is appropriate that they will not advance further in the Champions League competition this season.
We can see PSG's overall performance in domestic competitions and they didn't show an impressive performance so I think this will also happen in UCL matches.
Maybe in the round of 16, PSG will have a slight advantage because they have weakly trained opponents so they have a high percentage of getting through.
