There's nasty, potentially lethal bacteria growing if you keep noodles or rice for days in warm environment. Best to put in the fridge after cooling down (post cooked).
I saw a report a few months ago where an asian dude died because of a bowl of rice he kept in a pot with a lid for 8 days before eating it up.
