Bitcoin & Ethereum both already archive higher value and maybe many think these currency expensive & different to invest as you also mentioned. Basically who want to generate higher benefit from cryto, Bitcoin & ethereum aren't satisfactory investment for them but still have space to raise up 2/3 times higher from current value. And sol, ada, bnb are good for long time too and it isn't bad to hold such altcoins which will going to competitive with ethereum. That's why i told that potential altcoins are also important part of this crypto industry

I think this is your own opinion and it doesn't necessary mean people will think like this when talking about altcoins, some people when discussing about altcoins the first thing they'll think are newly project just like the thread we see here from newbies asking which best newly tokens to pump so they can earn profit.
I think the op is actually making a comparison with the altcoins he saved and some might bring profit while some will dump, it's best for everyone to think carefully before investing in any coin regardless of what the op said and with everyone opinion or personally from my opinion bitcoin should not be compared to other tokens.
