Once you made that adjustment, the chance of having stable attitude towards gambling can be achieved, I like the idea of maintaining what you can afford to let go and not to exceed as it can be the start of losing your control and being dominated by your emotion, if you can limit your gambling and treat things accordingly, there's no need to change mood each time you end your sessions.

His closest people can realize his change in his behavior but without an openness and admitting from the gambler, they can't ask or getting close to him. They could only watch from far and wait for the gambler's reaction. If the gambler doesn't say anything, they will still watch out but sometimes they will ask the gambler if everything is okay or not. I guess his closest people will react based on the situation and if necessary, they can try to getting close and talk to the gambler to find out for more. They hope the gambler can receive advice from them and try to introspect himself.

Hoping that the person will listen and follow whatever they've observe that's needed to be change, those close people that's sorround the person will be an additional key not to fall into addiction, just need to take the advise as positive criticizm and help himself to adjust or quit away if it's needed.
