IMO, the better for de bruyne to stay much longer in manchester city but club has not yet sent him a new offer to extending his contract. This makes the situation still remain uncertain regarding his future. We may be seehing a statement to come from him in the upcoming days,

Who's to say his agent or whoever is interested in his contract fueled this rumor to increase his bidding price to get a new contract? Even if it is true, I doubt De Bruyne is one of those players who are looking for more salary. Man City is rich too, they have a ton of money so selling him to get profit is probably not in their mind at all.
whatever the case turns out to be, Manchester City can play and win matches without his presence, they have done it in past seasons and matches, there's absolutely nothing new for the Citizens to try this time around.
They are a different team whenever he is involved though. If I were them I'd hope De Bruyne stays. Even if he can't play 90 minutes week in and week out anymore, it is still a good thing to have an alternative for the last 30 minutes of the second half. He managed to get an assist as soon as he returned iirc, so it shows that his creativity is still really good and no one comes close to it. 5 G/A in 7 matches this season is pretty good imo.
