We should not use Arsenal's past mistake of missing out on winning the Premier League trophy last season to judge them that they will not win the Premier League trophy this season, even though there is a chance of Arsenal winning it. Arsenal is consistent this season, and they are two points behind Liverpool. Arsenal has what it takes to win the Premier League trophy this season.
This season Liverpool, City and Arsenal have a very small difference in points and this will be a competition between 3 teams to win the EPL title. This is not like the previous season where only Arsenal and City competed at the end of the season. This season is more competitive and I think Arsenal must be really consistent if they want to aim for the title. Liverpool and City are playing very well so far. I think the Liverpool vs City match will be an opportunity for Arsenal to overtake second place in the standings. But Arsenal also have 1 match against City in the following week. I think the title this season is just between Liverpool and City.
I think it's quite understandable to take arsenal as less of a contender than Manchester city and Liverpool because this arsenal team has proven over and over again that they aren't consistent enough to mount a serious title challenge till the very end.
And secondly, I don't think arsenal can be that consistent enough to maintain a the push for the title since it's a three horse race because any slip up from them which is very much likely, especially against the smaller teams will be extremely difficult for them to recover, because right now, it's not just one team they are fighting with for the title, but against two, so they can't afford to drop more points at this stage of the competition which we have known them for, but if want to stand a chance of lifting the title, they just have to be getting the winnings irrespective of how bad the might perform, because at the end of the day, the most important thing is the results.
