I think there mustn’t be any reason if one decides to be private with his gambling activities. There is only going to be a problem if one decides to be irresponsible with his gambling actions and that in turn could have a negative effects on his life and others.
But a person who gambles responsibly could have a healthy gambling lifestyle and could also be private as well. People are quick to say stupid things and literally judge someone without knowing anything. Keeping up it activities private could also bring one peace and rest of mind from judging eyes.

Yeah and those who can work with gambling without any issue will prevent those kind of stupid people, they will hide everything and they will not care about sharing any details of their private activities, most of the time those who are irresponsible are the people who keep losing a lot, and even how hard they tried to keep it discreet it will be revealed by the actions that they've made, losing control have a big effects with your finances and it will reflect in how you deal with your everyday life.

Yeah right, it should be applied if you are not that affected to deep, I mean if you don't have any gambling addiction problem, what happened in vegas, stay in vegas principle can be applied, but if you have that issue controlling your emotions, probably it will reflect back and your actions will reveal whatever you are hiding around.
