But my point is that a player should usually be thriving for maximum goals and winning Ligue 1 really isn't such a goal once you have been praised as one of the best strikers in the world. If you are a top ten striker let's say, why the hell would you go to PSG and play in France? The answer is money. The highest you can achieve in club football is to win the Champions League and the Premier League. There were times when La Liga was the best league at least from the perspective of how hard it was to win. When Ronaldo and Messi played there, winning La Liga was incredibly hard because of that rivalry. Whereas in the Premier League the players are playing on the highest level almost non-stop during a season. If someone wants to compete with the best, I think the Premier League is still the number one league for top players.
